  BoxWave ClearTouch Anti-Glare Screen Protectors (Dual Pack), Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S90 - Qty: 1 December 30, 2005
First off... the retail packaging is extremely misleading with a photo of a PDA model BWCT-DC1078, and no reference to a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S90. The product was of mediocre quality... a 1.5" by 2" piece of plastic film with an adhesive on one side. The BoxWave Corporation does have a 30 day warranty and guarantees a full refund for any reason except abuse. So if your lucky enough not to have opened the package, and you have time to waste - they will even refund shipping fees if the error was their fault (initial shipping fees and/or the cost to return it?).
The application and alignment of the plastic film is extremely frustrating. If you don't have the strip properly aligned, you may have to bend a corner to remove it, and this corner no longer adheres once it has been bent. Not to mention that the extremely thin piece of plastic film keeps wanting to wonder between the camera casing and the LCD. Even after a second attempt (since I had a dual pack) there is a corner that still doesn't adhere properly more than a week later. The price is way to high. At almost twenty dollars - you can purchase a soft case direct from Sony which obviously consist of a higher quality, more innovation, more materials & exceptional workmanship.
I purchased the dual pack only because there were no single packs listed on Amazon. I didn't need two - I only needed one. I received two separately packaged retail products with an image of a PDA device printed on the front and back, and no reference to the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S90. I realized that I had seen the package before during my initial search on Amazon. And, I originally thought this product was falsely categorized because of the misleading image of a PDA device (personal digital assistant, or pocket sized computer), and that it had nothing to do with the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S90 camera. Now I know, since I have the original package in my hands (see above image).
The idea of a screen protector for the vulnerable LCD is good, but I feel that this product has a faulty design. If BoxWave were to update the retail packaging with a visual reference to the product they're actually selling. And, drastically recalculate and adjust their price to a reasonable amount relative to the price of the product their product is designed to enhance. And, design their product with a hard/solid frame or a lip allowing it to drop into the indented/recessed display. Thus, reducing the application time in order to protect the sensitive adhesive from dust collection. BoxWave's ClearTouch Anti-Glare/Crystal screen protectors would be a good investment. But, as it now stands... I would not purchase this product again, knowing what I know now.
As a mater of fact, I'm curious why major producers like Sony have not integrated this minor detail into the production of their hand held devices.
Bottom line... this product is in dire need of a design upgrade and is way over priced.
