soft ware that does not work December 14, 2008 I bought this item because the price was good. I wasted my money as the soft ware included didn't work. It was out of date and we were unable to update it. We have never used this product
No vista? Guess i'll be upgrading December 5, 2008 This product does not work with windows Vista in any way shape or form. XP is fine and lower id assume, but a no go with Vista. Works phenomenal with windows XP. Software is easy to understand and use. My TI83 plus loves it
TI-84 cable link November 16, 2008 I needed the upgrade of the cable link to transfer the screen image on my TI-84 calculator to my computer for instructions that I was writing on using the Cabri Jr application that comes with the calculator. With this new link I was able to easily transfer the Cabri images and my problem was solved.
Works fine with Linux October 22, 2008 The connectivity kit USB contains the SilverLink cable and a cd with software (both PC software and files that seem to be TI83/84 programmes). Since I'm running Linux, I am only interested in the cable.
The cable works fine under Linux (2.6.23 kernel), with tilp2 v1.11 ([...]). The program identifies the SilverLink cable and my TI-92+ automatically. All I really need is to backup files from my TI (and to restore backups back to the device), and that works fine.
It may be useful to know that the back of the package says that it is compatible with a TI-82 for Window$ (but not Mac), with a TI-85 and TI-86 for the Mac (but not Win) and with a TI-83 (Plus (Silver edition)), TI-89, TI-92 Plus and Voyage 200 for both Mac and Win.
Worked as advertised October 19, 2008 Well, I found this pretty cheap on Amazon, so it wasn't a huge investment. The data transfer rate is painfully slow, but it works. HOWEVER, I'm really irritated that they didn't include this with the calculator. It's a basic thing which should by any modern standard be bundled with it.
