Product Description The iTrip visually and functionally complements the iPod. The new iTrip builds upon this foundation, with several enhancements, superior performance and innovative features never seen before on FM transmitters keeping true to Griffin's essential philosophy of balance of design and ease of use. The iTrip has a large, easy to read backlit LCD screen to make setting its digital tuner easy to read. A handy knob on the side of the iTrip makes it even easier to select broadcast frequency. Turn to the frequency and click the knob to set it. The iTrip remembers its settings. One of iTrip's innovative features is the selectable LX or DX modes of broadcasting. This feature allows the user to adjust for the absolute best possible audio under almost any condition. The iTrip's DX Mode delivers a noise level that's below that of a cassette tape adapter, allowing the music to punch through cleanly even in the toughest situations, such as large cities with lots of radio stations crowding the dial. Another new feature is the ability to set the iTrip to either US or International tuning modes. International mode allows access to all available frequencies throughout the world. US mode limits tuning to those frequencies relevant to US stations. The result: no unnecessary scrolling through channels. The new iTrip also features volume enhancements with an auto volume control that works with the iPod's volume level to automatically avoid distortion. If the iPod's volume is set too high, iTrip recognizes and corrects it by lowering the volume to its optimum level, assuring clean, clear, dynamic sound. High stability crystal oscillator, phase-lock loop control Frequency response - 50Hz to 15KHz Operating range - 10-30 feet Dimenions - 2.45 x 1.43 x 0.9 inch (62.5mm x 36.5mm x 22mm) Weight - 0.6 ounces

Liked original better January 9, 2009 I got less interference with the original itrip & it's range started at 87fm whereas this new one starts at 88.1fm.
Don't buy this it's a waste of money October 24, 2008 I would give this a zero rating... This is the fifth of sixth one of these I have tried, none of them work. The sound always through with a background hiss both in my car and on my stereo. I found an $5 wire connector that works perfectly on my stereo, as for my car I bought a radio that connects directly to the I-pod... Griffin, Belkin, I-trip none of them work. Don't waste your time, and money.
Griffin iPod FM transmitter September 20, 2008 Way better than the original, which used audio files to set the frequency! This bad boy really does the job!
Great for Rual Areas July 30, 2008 Works best when you are not in the city. It is easier to find static air waves when there are not a lot of radio stations transmitting powerful signals. The best sound is always through hard wire, a direct connection to your radio aux jacks or a portable i-pod deck.
Great product! March 29, 2008 Of all the radio transmitters I've used, seen in action, or heard about, this one is the best. Easily. I've had friends in other cars drive down the road nearly 40 yards away and hear the signal from my iPod crystal clear on their radio. It works great!
