4 out of 5 stars Good quality, few problems.   December 26, 2008
I only got this a few days ago, but I've been making a lot of use of them, as I'm a night-owl with a penchant for rock music. :)

Quality is good -- fit is comfortable, headset is stylish but non-adjustable. They're meant to be worn with the band behind your ears. It's kind of uncomfortable to lay down or put your neck against something while wearing them because the neck gets in the way.

Since this is my first pair of Bluetooth headphones, this might be a flaw inherent in all Bluetooth headphones, or just this one, but you have to restart whatever program you were using for audio to start coming through. This means restarting Windows Media Player, or if you're in the middle of watching a YouTube video, you have to reload the page before any audio starts coming out through the headsets, not as convenient as plugging in wired headphones.

4 out of 5 stars Great headset - better than Motorola ROKR S9   October 1, 2008

First, a word of advice on using bluetooth headsets with an IPOD or other device that needs a dongle. The crackling shouldn't happen. If it is, get another dongle for your device. I am pretty certain this has to do with the power/sensitivity of the bluetooth transmitter/receiver in the dongle. The FCC regulates this, but it appears some are much better than others! I purchased the Sony TMR-BT81P IPOD dongle after having a lot of crackling and breakup problems with my first ROKR S9 that came with its own dongle. Not had a problem with any headset breaking up with the Sony.

I am returning my second pair of Motorola ROKR S9 after the buttons failed again, and the microphone stopped working. The first one that came with its own dongle crackled and broke up a lot as well. I really liked the small size of those, although they sucked in the wind - e.g. while bike riding. I am amazed that Motorola put out such a crappy product! A few simple design changes would make it super.

These Kensington headphones fit great, feel good on your ears (you forget you are wearing them) the microphone works very well - plenty of gain - and they are fairly easy to get working with everything. The instruction manual is not great - actually it is horrible, but like most other units just hold the button in for several seconds to get it linked to a device.

They aren't the most attractive things. I am a mountain biker and use them at the gym. I'm taking function over form on this. I like to take calls while riding and working out, fashion is secondary now!

4 out of 5 stars Awesome product!!! Worth every dollar!!!   September 13, 2008

This is an awesome product. It works great as a bluetooth headset. You cannot play music thru it unless you get a dongle that you plug into the bottom of you phone. While using through a computer you can enjoy wireless music that sounds great (for a wireless headset, this is not the best set of head phones on the market).

My only problem is that the play pause buttons don't work with my Mac. :(

1 out of 5 stars Horrid and ridiculous   May 7, 2008

Do not buy this unit. It breaks up CONSTANTLY. The sound is lousy, with very poor volume. It is semi-uncomfortable at best. Useless.

5 out of 5 stars Best bluetooth headphones available   April 11, 2008

I purchased these after extensive research, and I must say, I am not disappointed. I had no problem pairing these with my laptop, and the connection remains stable until about 30ft, depending on how many walls are between me and the laptop. The battery life is literally about 20 hours, and is charged in about 2 hours using a usb connection. Then theres the comfort; even after wearing these for hours on end, I felt no discomfort whatsoever. Very soft and easy on the ears. The part I loved best was that
the audio quality was actually the same as my other wired headphones. The quality will sound flat when you first use them, but this is fixed but adjusting EQ setting in whatever music player you're using, and then selecting the headphone listening environment from the Windows audio settings. Please take note I have not been able to test the microphone or pairing it with a cellphone, but I expect there wouldn't be problems as long as it has the A2DP profile for stereo audio. You must have this on any device you use for these headphones to work. Worth 5/5 stars!
